Q.01Is Aeto really free to try?
Yes. Download and use every feature free for 30 days. No credit card required. After your trial, choose to subscribe at $10/month or $100/year … or don't. Your data stays safe either way.
Q.02Does it work offline?
No. After the initial install, you can view your data, but to run the timer or add clients/projects/tasks, you'll need an Internet connection.
Q.03Will my data be deleted if I don't subscribe after the trial?
No. We want your work to stay safe. If your trial ends without a subscription, your account simply shifts to read-only mode. You'll still be able to view and export your existing data, you just won't be able to add new entries. You can subscribe at any time to pick up right where you left off.
Q.04Does Aeto work on Intel Macs?
Not yet. Aeto currently supports Apple Silicon Macs (M1, M2, M3, M4, and M5) running macOS 12 or later. If you're on an Intel Mac and want to see support added, let us know at hello@aeto.app.
Q.05Is this on the Mac App Store?
Not right now. Aeto is available as a direct download only. This lets us ship faster, keep pricing low, and avoid App Store red tape. You can safely install it from this page.
Q.06What about taxes — VAT, GST, sales tax?
Aeto lets you add line-item tax rates per invoice. Set a default rate per client or override it each time. It doesn't calculate tax obligations — for that, work with your accountant.
Q.07Is there an iOS or Windows version?
Not yet. Aeto is macOS-first. An iOS companion app is on the roadmap. As of now, Windows isn't planned.
Q.08Is there a web version?
Yes. Aeto is available as a web app at app.aeto.app, in addition to the native Mac desktop app.
Q.09Does this use AI?
No. Why add AI just to jack up the price? Not everything needs AI.
